Beautiful and majestic mountains, crazy and playful rivers, lush green and rich meadows,

One such beautiful place in this state whose beauty cannot be explained in simple words is the Kullu Valley. Located along the banks of River Beas, the small town of Kullu is the capital town of Kullu district. 

Surrounded by beautiful hills from all the sides, covered by fine Pine and deodar forests and apple orchards, this beautiful valley is nothing less than paradise, if we are to believe what is told in legends and fairy tales.

It is about 80 kms in length and just 2 kms in breadth but houses some of the most breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas. This beautiful valley of gods can be reached by airways, roadways and railways. The nearest airport is the Bhuntar airport which is just about 10 kms away and the nearest railway station is at Chandigarh which is about 270 kms away. 

Besides this it has a very good network of roads and buses, taxis etc are available to Kullu from major towns and cities like Shimla, Delhi, and Chandigarh etc. The best time to visit it is during the summers as the weather will be cool and pleasant. Kullu tour is a great way to escape the heat of summers in the plains.
